Hawaii-based Cosmetics Company Gives Back During Pandemic

Posted by Hoan Nguyen on

Hanalei Company, Hawaii-based cosmetics company gives back during the pandemic. These complicated times have affected all of us. No matter what, nearly all industries have been affected by everything that’s changing in our world right now, and it’s more important than ever that we stand together during this time of need.  Hanalei, a cruelty-free skincare and cosmetics company has done exactly that, to stand with its employees, customers, local healthcare workers, and company partners as much as possible, to try to ease the struggles that have come with this global pandemic.

We at Hanalei know that it’s more important than ever to stand together, even when we must be apart, and have done everything possible to make sure that the people closest to us do not see any more struggles this year.

Donations To Those That Take Care Of Us

At Hanalei, we want to make sure that we spread the same positivity that our local frontline workers have worked to spread to us, which is why we donated our Kukui Body Lotion to those on the healthcare front lines of Queens Medical Center on Oahu, Asian Health Services in Oakland, CA, and Phoenixville Hospital in Phoenixville, PA. We also partnered with Donate Beauty so that we could concentrate on additional donations with other healthcare facilities in the future.

A Fund For Local Hawaiian Artisans

At Hanalei, we pride ourselves on our partnerships with local Hawaiian artisans. That’s why we’ve created a fund meant to help those who need it most: Hawaiian creatives who may be out of work due to the loss of tourism throughout the state. This is meant to keep these artisans creating longer so that they can support their families, and keep making Hawaii the beautiful state that it is, for when the world opens back up again.

Hanalei Company Employees Working From Home

Here at Hanalei, we’re happy to announce that we have not laid off or furloughed any staff members. Our employees are important to us, and Hanalei just wouldn’t be the same without them. This is why we’ve kept our entire team working safely from home during these unique times so that everyone can continue their projects without putting themselves, their coworkers, or their families at risk. This also means that all of our employees will have jobs to come back to, as soon as it is safe to come into the office again.

During these changing times, it’s no secret that things have become a little more difficult, especially in the workplace. Hanalei has worked so hard to make sure that nobody is suffering during these times, by creating a fund for local artisans, keeping all of our staff employed, and donating to healthcare workers, so that they can find the positivity to keep going, even when times are tough.
